1. Something about adding something to the
agenda.
2. Someone proposed that $3000 be set aside for
something.
3. Volleyball court was mentioned. -
4. Something about a machine (couldn't hear the
rest).
5. Discussion regarding the park;
• Park is too hot for kids.
• A man suggested planting trees for shade.
• A shelter was mentioned.
• Bonnie makes a motion for $5000 to be set
aside for the park. Someone seconded the motion, but no vote was taken.
• Diane makes a motion that a plan be brought
to the next meeting laying out what the expenses would amount to and exactly
how the money would be spent. Motion is seconded. Motion is voted upon and
passed.

Business:
1. Josh says something about having copies of
something with different ideas/possibilities for things to pursue. Couldn't hear rest of conversation.
2. Someone says we have to get the community
involved.
H. Voting
1. Someone begins reading off nominees.
2. Josh says he has proxy votes.
• Someone asks if proxy votes are accepted.
• More discussion on proxy votes - couldn't
hear.
3. Someone continues to read a list of nominees
• Nominees for President are Virginia and
Josh. Another interruption changes the subject.
4. Someone asks if voting will be by hand or
ballot. It is decided to vote by ballot.
5. More discussion of proxy votes.
• Question is put forth as to whether or not
people have to be nominated first before proxy votes are considered valid. No
answer given.
• Someone asks if the proxies are even at the
meeting.
• End of tape.
6. Argument ensues regarding membership,
validity of proxy votes, whether people need to be present or not, etc. Couldn't hear most of the details.
• Several people introduce themselves (Greg,
Mark). Couldn't hear the rest.
• There is some argument about whether or not
the people in attendance should just vote tonight. A hand ballot is mentioned
but not accepted.
• Someone asks for additional nominations.
• Josh says that he has been trying to get a
membership directory since this spring. No one was willing to cooperate with
him or get him the necessary information. He says that he has 33 votes if all
of the proxies are members.
• More arguing.
• Someone calls
for a do-over, but more arguing ensues.
• End of tape.
• Suggestion is
made to postpone meeting until a later date.
• More arguing

7. Resolution to voting problem.
• Motion is made to send out ballots to every
member. Motion is seconded, put to a vote, and accepted.
• It is decided to send out numbered ballots
(to eliminate duplicates) to
everyone
on the membership directory. Members can either mail the ballot back or bring
it to the next meeting on September 10th.
• Diane makes an announcement that unless
anyone has objections, new ballots will be sent out to all members. Envelopes,
rather than ballots, should be signed to verify membership and to keep names
confidential. Four people will be assigned to count the ballots (two from each
side).

that people will be able to write in nominations on the ballots.

• A cover
letter will accompany all ballots explaining the voting procedure.
